Pancake Supper at Newell Christian Fellowship a Success
Monday, March 3rd, 2008
Thanks to all who participated at the pancake supper at the Newell Christian Fellowship. Servers and eaters turned out in good form to cook, eat and clean on Saturday, March 1st. The pancake flipper was kept hopping from 5:00 to 7:00 and the kids especially liked the ice cream and cookies. If you missed the occasion, you missed a great time of stuffing faces and catching up on the latest Newell news. The money raised will go to the general fund of the church.
Thanks again to all who participated!

Shopping in town?
Wednesday, December 26th, 2007If you shopped out of town for Christmas gifts, or at any time in the past year - why?
One of Horizons Strategic Goals is to implement a “Gator Card” - a type of Shop Newell incentive to encourage citizens to spent their money in our community rather than out of town or county.
It might be beneficial to explore the many reasons that folks do go out of town to shop. Are there products that Newell just doesn’t offer? Is it because you can find it out of town more affordable? Are you working out of town and it’s easier to do your shopping there also? Simply explain why you shop out of town, maybe the feedback can help Horizons and local business owners to work to serve more of our citizens.
To read more about the Gator Card idea, click on Newell Stragetic Plan on the right toolbar and read through the many goals Horizons has set for themselves! If you would like to join in to help see some of these goals through, contact Amanda Keller for more information.
Did you shop in Newell?
